AUCTION IN A BOX We understand the time and effort required to organize a charity golf tournament (we’ve done it too). We also know what's important; to raise as much money for your charity as possible. We want to help you fulfill that desire by offering a unique and fun tool – AUCTION IN A BOX. Over the past few years, there has been a decline in the Sports Memorabilia Silent Auction participation. With most minimum opening bids around the $100 mark, many people have become reluctant. This inspired us to develop a program where golfers could take a shot at winning high-quality memorabilia for far less while still being financially beneficial to the tournament and their charity. That program is AUCTION IN A BOX. By asking for a small amount from everyone, the potential for profit is huge. And remember, the prizes (these pieces) are far more valuable than the cost to participate. AUCTION IN A BOX contains ten pieces - our all-time, top-selling, golf-related sports memorabilia plus one piece that has universal appeal (Vince Lombardi’s – What It Takes to Be #1 Speech - also a top seller). All are beautifully custom framed and are proudly MADE IN THE USA. In a traditional Silent Auction format, the opening bids on these pieces would range between $100 and $275. But, without a doubt, the largest profit potential can be accomplished via a PICK-A-PRIZE Auction Format (also known as Penny Social, Tricky Tray or Chinese Auction - see options below). Using this format, along with our fun suggestions as to how the golfers can acquire their raffle tickets for the auction, we’ve seen tournaments make thousands in profit. The goal of AUCTION IN A BOX is to be a new and exciting revenue stream at your event. Through long-term experience and close customer contact, we make sure that you understand our proven methods that will guide you towards making a profit for your charity. This is not an idle claim. We can help you too. THREE DIFFERENT OPTIONS 1) USE SOME/ALL AS ADDITIONAL PRIZES FOR YOUR RAFFLE TABLE Having trouble rounding up items for giveaways this year? Here’s the ability to add high-quality items at reasonable cost. Use them as Longest Drive and Closest to the Pin prizes or simply add them in to your general raffles. 2) SILENT AUCTION Set up items for display each with a corresponding bid sheet. You set the opening bid and bid increments on each piece (which can and should vary). Suggestions for opening bid and bid increments will be supplied upon request. 3) PICK-A-PRIZE AUCTION (AKA - Penny Social, Tricky Tray or Chinese Auction) RECOMMENDED OPTION Set up the pieces on a table for display. Each piece has a number and a corresponding container with the same number on it. Attendees purchase raffle tickets from a normal, double-numbered roll of tickets and are given both halves (many fun ways to do this, suggestions will be supplied upon request). Participants deposit one-half of the ticket into the container for each item they would like to win and keep the other half for the raffle. Based on a full tournament (144 golfers) and a $20 per person average, that would equal $2,880 (over $2,000 PROFIT minimum).
